One year and five days after being sent home on garden leave I have a new job. It is not a fancy job it is simply something that sounds actually quite interesting and has the possibility for promotion to other interesting projects.
The pay is a lot less than I was on previously (a 65% reduction) but it is significantly more than the nothing I have been on for a while now.
We are now collecting together a list of what we have to buy that we have been putting off for a year.
Hurrah for me.
And at the moment, the list is running at about £30,000. (And that’s just my Amazon wishlist)
Eeeh, I don’t know, not even got your first pay packet and you’re spending it already. You young people and your “devil-may-care” ways…..
BTW Miriam, £30,000? There surely aren’t that many books on XML and JavaHelp in the entire world!
