Who said the spirit of Christmas is dead? Just look the wonderful tree our district has put on for us:

It’s been like that for weeks now. OK, I appreciate there might not be enough money in the budget to replace it, but surely a tree that looks like it has been given a good kicking is worse?

…but we’ve finally got round to putting up some pictures of Christmas Day 2005 here.

At the risk of getting soppy, I think it’s great that the world is so small. We shared Christmas with my family, but also with Lauri and Margot, great friends of my parents, and whose daughter Fliss lives in the States after marrying Greg. I suppose I’ve been thinking about this a lot after Ned moved over to Hong Kong.

It’s really important to me that there’s always going to be family around to celebrate with; it’s just you might not be related to them.

Cats vs Raptor

This Christmas, my brother got us a Roboraptor. We saw this as an excellent opportunity to wind up the cats – and we were right.
