I picked up some lovely voile panels in the sales, which I’ve converted into net curtains, and I’ve been to Abakhan fabrics and bought the most fantabulous piece of red taffeta to make into a curtain. For £7.71. (They sell by weight.)

Doing all this has reminded me just how much I love making things – I’ve even been inspired to re-thread a broken necklace and re-start a cross-stitch I started 12 years ago. At this rate I’m going to be making clothes again.

Now all I need is a bigger house to do it all in.
